Before you contact technical support for assistance via e-mail, telephone or fax,
please be prepared to provide the following information to the technical support representative.

Version
Number

You can find your version number by selecting Help from the pull-down menu in CADKEY, DataCAD, SURFCAM or Chief Architect and then select “About” your product. The version number will appear when selecting this.

Operating
System

Your computer may be running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP. To determine your operating system, right-click on My Computer, select Properties and view the General tab.

Problem
Description

You should be prepared to briefly describe your problem or question, and be able to provide any error messages you may have experienced. In the event that you have an intermittent problem, it is recommended that you keep notes in a log or notebook.

Information

You will be asked to provide your name, school name, and phone number. This is especially important when you send an e-mail message to technical support, so we can identify you.
