The 3D Printing Process

  • Design the 3D part in CAD.
  • Export the 3D part file as an .STL file.
  • Import the .STL file into the 3D Printer Software Program.
  • Send the data to the 3D Printer to print the 3D part!  The printer creates the model one layer at a time by spreading a layer of powder and "printing" the layer with binder.  The process is repeated until every layer is printed and the part is ready to be removed.

 

 

 

 

3D Printing Process:
