A: DataCAD is available to educators and students at academic prices to fit school budgets. DataCAD student/faculty seats are available for $189, and single classroom seats are available for $359. Q: What is the minimum recommended system to operate DataCAD?
A: The following minimum system is recommended to operate DataCAD:

150 Mhz Intel® Pentium Processor; Microsoft® NT/98/00/XP; 64 MB RAM; 100 MB hard disk for installation; 200 MB hard drive swapfile; Windows™ compatible mouse; 4 MB RAM Open GL video card (800 x 600 at 32 thousand colors).

Q: What grade levels are able to instruct DataCAD?
A: DataCAD is instructed as early as the middle-school level and beyond. Educators take advantage of modules such as the “3D Architectural Curricular Program,” recently adopted by the Department of Defense Schools for use in the Applied Technology Course!

Other educators at the middle-school, secondary and post-secondary levels enjoy using Dr. Len Nasman’s DataCAD Project Book, a textbook divided into a series of drawing projects developed to help new users explore and appreciate three-dimensional architectural design and drawing.
