Q: How
is KEYCREATOR Licensing controlled? A: KEYCREATOR licenses
are controlled in one of two ways:
KEYCREATOR for single student/faculty copies or
labs up to 5 seats use a combination of Educational License Files
and physical USB SIM's (Software Interface Modules, also known
as hardlocks, dongles, keys) which are shipped with your product.
These license files do not expire and are marked for educational
use only (Note: Not watermarked on prints. Marked as created with
an educational version and not compatible with commercially licensed
files.).
KEYCREATOR for school installations of 10 seats
or more requires a SIM locked Floating Network License deigned
to run on a server and control the licensing. This license will
require a license file for the server and one for the client machines
which are both supplied by TEC with your purchase. Prior to purchase
the Server Name must be supplied so the license file can be created.
This must be in the exact case sensitive format as it will be
imbedded in the license file. Please note: At the current time
only Windows Networks are supported by the Floating license. For
users with Novell networks individual SIM locked seats may be
purchased. An additional charge may apply. Call our Sales department
with any pre-sale questions.
