TEC to Host 12th Annual Accredited TEC Summer Institute for Educators

Hands-on Professional Development for Educators Featuring CAD, CAM and Manufacturing Technologies


Concord, NH – February 3, 2006 -- Tech Ed Concepts, Inc. (TEC), the North American Academic Distributor of 3D Engineering and Manufacturing Software, Hardware and Curriculum Programs, will host its 12th Annual TEC Summer Institute (TSI) during the week of June 26 – June 30, 2006 at the Center of NH Radisson Hotel in Manchester, NH.

Exclusively designed for Educators, TSI provides 40+ instructional hours of hands-on training, classroom materials and innovative curriculum designed to assist technology educators by increasing their knowledge of CAD, CAM and Manufacturing Technologies. An important component of the TSI is the interaction between Educators from across North America who are able to collaborate, network and take home new classroom and curriculum ideas exchanged with fellow attendees. TSI for Educators has been featured in Tech Directions Magazine as one of the “Terrific Ten Training and Certification Programs.”

The week of hands-on training is taught by certified professional secondary and post-secondary Educators. Course offerings include CAD, CAM and Manufacturing Technologies featuring KeyCreator?, SURFCAM?, and Chief Architect? and have expanded to include Laser Technologies with GCC Lasers and Virtual Digital Manufacturing with DELMIA, the latest core technology desired by companies. A Z Corp. 3D Printer will be on-site to provide attendees with the opportunity to produce rapid prototypes of their designs throughout the week. Additionally, Educators can take advantage of an open evening lab where assistants will be available to answer questions and assist with additional software training. Educators who participate have the opportunity to earn graduate credits accredited through Keene State College (Keene, NH).
