NEW HAMPSHIRE SME SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS RECEIVE CADKEY®
Pembroke, NH (May 19, 2003)
- The New Hampshire Society of Manufacturing Engineers
(SME) Chapter 124 has received a donation of CADKEY Workshop V.
21, 3D Mechanical Engineering design software (valued over $75,000),
from Tech Ed Concepts, Inc. (TEC, Inc.), CADKEY’s North American
Academic Distributor. SME recently distributed the software to eighteen
students and their respective schools who were recipients of the
John I. McKenney/SME Chapter 124 Engineering Scholarship.
Students in the Monadnock region of New
Hampshire who are planning to pursue engineering studies at 2- and
4-year post-secondary institutions, express financial assistance,
and have demonstrated a commitment to extra-curricular activities
and community service were encouraged to apply for this scholarship.
This year, SME Chapter 124 awarded Peter Wilson of
Hinsdale High School in Hinsdale, NH as the winner of the scholarship.
He was awarded a $1000 scholarship and one seat of CADKEY Workshop
V. 21. Peter has been accepted into engineering programs at Union
College and the University of New Hampshire.
All applicants for this Award also received one seat
of CADKEY Workshop V. 21. All of the recipients have been accepted
into prestigious engineering programs throughout the United States
including Colorado State University, University of Vermont, University
of New Hampshire, Boston University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute,
Northeastern University, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Roger
Williams, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Michigan,
St. Louis University, Wentworth College, Pratt University, Syracuse
University, University of Hartford, Alfred State College, Embry-Riddle,
and Clarkson College.
