little or no architectural experience (i.e. instructors of middle
school, high-school, post-secondary, construction trades, interior
design or those wanting to introduce 2D and 3D Architectural CAD
as a new unit or into an ongoing mechanical CAD program.)
Architectural Rendering and Modeling
Beyond Floor Plans
This class will use the extended features of DataCAD 10 o2c Interactive
and the parametric powers of Chief Architect to explore the world
of camera renderings including interior design, site work, landscaping
design, aerial views, walk throughs, lighting control, geographical
location, seasonal renderings, and more.
Exploring Chief Architect and It’s
Uses in Your Classroom Participants will explore the basics of 3D architectural
residential design using extremely simple-to-use parametric modeling

the “ABCs of CNC” curriculum. No prior CNC experience
is necessary. Instructors will be provided the basics to introduce
CNC into any classroom from grade 6 and up.
Hands-on 3D CNC Manufacturing Participants will be introduced to the more complex issues
of SURFCAM 2D, 3D machining with an introduction to Solid Modeling.
They will go beyond the “default settings” and produce
a logical industrial production management cutting process.
These highly affordable training courses will expand
the educator’s knowledge of 3D CAD, Solid Modeling, CAM and
Manufacturing using key tips and short cuts with the latest CADKEY,
DataCAD, SURFCAM and Chief Architect software packages, an RP 3D
Printer and CNC equipment; additionally, instructors can take advantage
of an open evening lab where assistants will be available to answer
questions. Guest speakers are scheduled to attend.
