DataCAD® Aids Student to Win the Gold at the NH Skills
USA-VICA Competition
Kingswood Regional H.S. Student
to Compete in the National Competition
Wolfeboro, NH - April 25, 2002 - Steve
Babalis, senior at Kingswood Regional High School recently won the
gold medal in the Architectural Drafting Competition at the New
Hampshire SkillsUSA-VICA Championship, using DataCAD, a professional-level
CAD program for architectural design used in industry worldwide.
Glenn Wilson, Kingswood H.S. Architectural
Drafting Instructor said, "Steve is my assistant in the classroom.
His knowledge and expertise are always expanding. We are so proud
of his accomplishments!" Wilson has been teaching Technical Drawing,
Architectural Drafting, and Computer-Aided Drafting at Kingswood
H.S. since 1984.
SkillsUSA-VICA is a national organization serving
a quarter-million high school and college students and professional
members who are enrolled in technical, skilled, and service occupations,
including health occupations. Each year, students compete first
at the state level, and then the winners continue on to the SkillsUSA-VICA
National Competition in Kansas City, MO. For more information or
