DataCAD® Assists Architectural Drafting Student to Win the Gold

Lyndon Institute VT Student Heads to the National SkillsUSA-VICA Competition

Rutland, VT- April 11, 2002 - Kevin Cole, a Senior at Lyndon Institute, recently won the Gold Medal in the Architectural Drafting Competition at the Vermont SkillsUSA-VICA Championship, using DataCAD, a professional-level CAD program for architectural design used in industry worldwide.

Hugh Schultz, Drafting Instructor at Lyndon Institute said, "This was Kevin's first year in Architectural Drafting. He spent many hours preparing for this competition and we are extremely proud of his accomplishment!"

SkillsUSA-VICA is a national organization serving a quarter-million high school and college students and professional members who are enrolled in technical, skilled, and service occupations, including health occupations. Each year, students compete first at the state level, and then the winners continue on to the SkillsUSA-VICA National Competition in Kansas City, MO.
