CADKEY Academic Corporate Sponsor Program to Provide Free Software to Educational Institutions

CADKEY Corp. partners with Tech Ed Concepts to give CADKEY customers the power to provide free state of the art design software to future engineers

Marlborough, MA - August 22, 2001 - CADKEY Corporation, a leading developer of WindowsÒ-based mechanical design and drafting software for designers and manufacturers worldwide, announces their new CADKEY Academic Corporate Sponsor Program in partnership with Tech Ed Concepts, Inc. (Pembroke, NH), CADKEY North American Academic Distributor. Under the new program, CADKEY Corporation will donate one academic CADKEY license to the CADKEY customer's school of choice for each new commercial domestic seat of CADKEY that a company purchases. Each donated CADKEY is a full commercial version, not a "watered down" or "lite" product, with an exclusive academic license. Commercial CADKEY customers now have the opportunity to assist the academic community by making the latest design technology available at no charge, better preparing the future workforce for industry. The software can be issued to any educational institution, either in the customer's local community or anywhere in the United States or Canada.

Robert W. Bean, P.E., President and CEO of CADKEY Corporation, stated, "This is truly a win-win scenario; everyone benefits. CADKEY's time-proven technology is so intuitive it is the ideal product for 'future engineers' because it allows them to learn engineering without having the mechanics of the software get in the way. CADKEY's freeform (non-parametric), unconstrained, straightforward design environment has an extremely fast learning curve for students. I first began using CADKEY in college for robotics design sixteen years ago. It was the perfect 2D/3D design tool then - and it still is today. Tech Ed Concepts is a top-notch VAR with extensive knowledge of educational product sales and is the ideal organization to administer this program."

Richard Amarosa, President and CEO of Tech Ed Concepts, added, "Many educational institutions do not have the budget to constantly maintain and upgrade their programs to be compatible with the current industrial trends. It is therefore difficult for many graduates to meet national employment standards without further on-the-job training. By providing schools with the current technologies used in industry at no cost, students acquire employable skills before they graduate, making for a more productive employee. We are passing on the latest in CADKEY Hybrid Modeling software to students who will shortly become our modern technology work force."

CADKEY Academic Corporate Sponsor Program Request Forms are shipped with each CADKEY 19 product purchased. The commercial customer simply fills out the form and submits it to Tech Ed Concepts for approval. If a company purchases ten commercial seats of CADKEY, they are eligible to sponsor ten academic seats of CADKEY free to the school of their choice.
