National Competition Students Granted MCAD and Architectural Software
Concord,
NH, July 23, 2007–
Technology Education Concepts,
Inc. (TEC), North American Academic Distributor of 3D Engineering
and Manufacturing Software, Hardware and Curriculum Programs, announces
that over 170 seats of Envisioneer™ and KeyCreator™
software were granted to students who participated in Architectural
Drafting and Technical Drafting Competitions at the 2007 National
Leadership and Skills Conference in Kansas City, MO. Each year,
students compete first at the state level and then the winners continue
on to the SkillsUSA National Competition in Kansas City, MO. TEC
donated the software in cooperation with Cadsoft Corp. the developer
of Envisioneer™, and Kubotek, USA the developer of KeyCreator™.
Widely used commercially, Envisioneer™ and KeyCreator™
are especially relevant to the professional careers of future graduates
in architectural and mechanical programs giving them the oppurtunity
to gain real world CAD experience. Envisioneer™ is used by
architects and building designers worldwide for the creation of
3D design, working drawings, framing, rendering, animation, material
take-off and cut lists. Design engineers internationally use KeyCreator™
for diverse applications in aerospace, automotive, machine design,
reverse engineering and more.
“Cadsoft, in partnership with TEC, is proud to be able to
contribute to the SkillsUSA organization,” says Brad Finck,
Vice President of Business Development at Cadsoft Corp. “By
providing students with the easiest design tools available, we ensure
that they spend more time learning about design and building concepts
and less time having to learn a new software system.”
