Corporate History
The company was founded by Richard Amarosa, a veteran instructor with over 17 years of classroom and administration experience in Technology Education.

Mr. Amarosa recognized the benefits and potential of easy-to-use 3D CAD software as powerful teaching tools to prepare students for fast track engineering careers. He also saw the need to fill the technology gap between industry and education with low cost, highly effective solutions for tight school budgets. His extensive research into Technology Education resulted in the creation of Technology Education Concepts, Inc.

In 1987, TEC, Inc. introduced two of the first 3D CAD software programs in the marketplace, CADKEY® and DataCAD®, to the academic arena and became a regional dealer for universities, schools and students in New England. Today, TEC, Inc. has grown to assist tens of thousands of students, faculty, and schools in North America as a national distributor of KeyCreator/CADKEY, Envisioneer, DataCAD, SURFCAM, GCC LaserPro Lasers and 3D Manufacturing Programs and curriculum materials. TEC, Inc. is also an academic regional dealer for Z Corp. 3D Printers.  We specialize in providing today’s classrooms with cutting edge technologies at academic prices.
